The Awami League has decided to postpone all meetings, public meetings and talks until April to prevent the transmission of the Corona virus. The general secretary of the party, Obaidul Quader, said this while addressing the chief guest at a meeting held at the party’s central office on Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital on Wednesday.
“The government has taken all measures to prevent the spread of the Corona virus in the country,” she said. After the coronavirus was detected in Bangladesh, the Awami League decided to postpone all kinds of meetings, public meetings and talks.
However, the organizational activities of the party will be conducted internally, the Road Transport and Bridge Minister said. He also directed the Awami Mahila League and the Youth Mahila League to finish their council in June.
He urged the BNP not to do politics on any sensitive and humanitarian issue like the Corona virus.
The government’s pathology, pathological and research institute – IEDCR reported that three coroners were infected in Bangladesh on Sunday. At present, eight persons have been kept in isolation ward in different hospitals. So far, a total of 12 samples have been tested.
