\"\" \u2013 Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today termed the Indian variant of coronavirus (Covid-19) as more dangerous and urged all to remain conscious in maintaining health guidelines properly.<\/p>\n

\u201cIndian variant of Covid-19 has been found in Bangladesh. Our little bit of negligence may cause danger. Under the circumstances, we all should remain conscious,\u201d he said while addressing a discussion and relief distribution ceremony at IDEB Bhaban here.<\/p>\n

From his official residence, Quader virtually joined the discussion titled \u201cMujib Barsho and what to do in facing deadly Covid-19 crisis\u201d arranged by Bangabandhu Diploma Engineers Council.<\/p>\n

Mentioning that neighboring India is now severely reels under the spike of vicious second wave of Covid-19, he said though India is famous for oxygen production, the country is now in acute oxygen crisis and people\u2019s sufferings know no bounds.<\/p>\n

Even footpaths in India have turned into crematorium while the experts warned that third wave of the Covid-19 is likely to hit India, he said, adding that Bangladesh is getting danger messages from India.<\/p>\n

The minister said under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the people of Bangladesh successfully faced different natural and man-made disasters in the past.<\/p>\n

He hoped Bangladesh will be able to face the ongoing pandemic-induced crisis successfully under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will have to build forts of consciousness at our houses to save ourselves from the pandemic,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Quader urged all to celebrate the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr staying at their present locations to resist the deadly Covid-19 responding to the call of the premier.<\/p>\n

Instead of making united efforts in facing the common enemy coronavirus, political blame-game is going on in the country, he said, adding that Sheikh Hasina\u2019s government is being blamed for everything though Bangladesh remains comparatively better than other countries in the pandemic under the courageous, farsighted and humanitarian leadership of Sheikh Hasina.<\/p>\n

He said Sheikh Hasina\u2019s government has been able to control the situation to a good extent which is acknowledged by her critics too.<\/p>\n

Bangabandhu Diploma Engineers Council (BDEC) President and valiant freedom fighter Md Khabir Hossain chaired the function while Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Whip and AL Organizing Secretary Abu Sayeed Al Mahmud Swapan, Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh (IDEB) President AKMA Hamid, its General Secretary Md Shamsur Rahman and BDEC General Secretary and valiant freedom fighter AKM Abdul Motaleb addressed it, among others.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
