Prime Minister and Leader of the House Sheikh Hasina today asked all concerned to pursue the anti-narcotics awareness campaigns alongside
\nconducting the ongoing drives against drugs to keep the youths away from the
\nmenace.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are taking appropriate measures against (abuse of) narcotics as it not only
\ndestroys a family but also harm the country as well as the addicts,\u201d she said while
\nreplying to a supplementary question from opposition Chief Whip Moshiur
\nRahman Ranga during the PM\u2019s question-answer session at the parliament.<\/p>\n
She continued saying that they are taking necessary measures as the youths could
\nget beautiful and worthy lives for them.<\/p>\n
The premier simultaneously reiterated her government\u2019s stance on continuation
\nof the ongoing drives against narcotics and said, \u201cOne thing is to take legal action
\nagainst them (drug related people particularly peddlers) while the other thing is to
\ncreate awareness against it.\u201d<\/p>\n
Noting her government\u2019s efforts to make people aware against the abuse of
\ndrugs, she asked all particularly the guardians and authorities concerned of the
\neducational institutions such schools, colleges and universities to take necessary
\nmeasures to keep the youths away from the menace.<\/p>\n
The premier also asked all concerned to keep the young-folk busy through sports
