{"id":71164,"date":"2025-11-23T17:27:27","date_gmt":"2025-11-23T11:27:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deshmediabd.com\/?p=71164"},"modified":"2025-11-23T17:27:27","modified_gmt":"2025-11-23T11:27:27","slug":"nbr-extends-deadline-for-individual-tax-returns-to-december-31","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deshnews24.info\/?p=71164","title":{"rendered":"NBR Extends Deadline for Individual Tax Returns to December 31"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"104\" data-end=\"198\"><strong data-start=\"179\" data-end=\"196\">Business Desk<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"200\" data-end=\"408\">The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has announced a one-month extension for filing income tax returns for individual taxpayers for the fiscal year 2025\u201326, setting the new deadline at <strong data-start=\"384\" data-end=\"405\">December 31, 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"410\" data-end=\"683\">In a separate order, the NBR has allowed taxpayers facing registration-related difficulties in the e-return system to apply to their respective Deputy Commissioners of Taxes by <strong data-start=\"587\" data-end=\"608\">December 15, 2025<\/strong>, providing appropriate justification for their inability to file online.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"685\" data-end=\"1113\">This year, <strong data-start=\"696\" data-end=\"759\">online filing of income tax returns has been made mandatory<\/strong> for all individual taxpayers, with exemptions for senior citizens aged 65 or above, physically disabled or specially-abled taxpayers, Bangladeshi taxpayers residing abroad, legal representatives filing on behalf of deceased taxpayers, and foreign nationals working in Bangladesh. Exempted taxpayers may still file e-returns voluntarily if they choose.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1115\" data-end=\"1602\">Authorized representatives, including income tax lawyers, chartered accountants, cost and management accountants, and chartered secretaries, are permitted to submit e-returns on behalf of taxpayers.
