The results for halls of Jahangirnagar University Central Students\u2019 Union (JUCSU) and Hall Sangsad elections were finally announced on Saturday evening after an intense 40-hour vote-counting process.<\/p>\n
Voting had been conducted across 21 residential halls on Thursday, but the manual counting process has costed the long period to the election commission to reach the final result.<\/p>\n

A total of 11,897 students cast their votes, including 6,115 male and 5,728 female students, marking a turnout of 67\u201368%. A total of 177 candidates contested 25 posts in the Central Students\u2019 Parliament, including 9 for VP, 8 for GS, 16 for AGS, with 6 female candidates.<\/p>\n
The election saw participation from eight panels:<\/p>\n
Shibir-backed \u2018Integrated Student Alliance\u2019 \u2013 full panel including VP Arifullah Adib and GS Mazharul Islam.<\/p>\n
Bagchas-backed \u2018Student Unity Forum\u2019 \u2013 23-member panel with VP Arifuzzaman Ujjal.<\/p>\n
Chhatra Dal panel \u2013 25 members, VP Md. Sheikh Sadi Hasan.<\/p>\n
Leftist panels \u2013 \u2018Unity of Harmony\u2019 and \u2018Constitutional Council\u2019 fielded partial panels due to internal divisions.<\/p>\n
Independent panels \u2013 \u2018Independent Student Union\u2019 and \u2018Independent Commitment Council\u2019.<\/p>\n
