A private television channel MyTV’s Chairman Nasir Uddin Sathi has been arrested by Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police from Dhaka’s Gulshan on Sunday evening.<\/p>\n
The arrest was confirmed by DB Joint Commissioner (South) Mohammad Nasirul Islam, who stated that Sathi is an accused in a murder case filed with Jatrabari Police Station during the recent Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe case involves serious allegations of violence resulting in death. We conducted the arrest based on legal warrants,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Sathi was taken into custody following a raid and will be presented before the court on Monday. A remand plea is expected to be submitted to assist the ongoing investigation.<\/p>\n
