{"id":62840,"date":"2025-07-12T04:38:35","date_gmt":"2025-07-12T04:38:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deshmediabd.com\/?p=62840"},"modified":"2025-07-12T04:38:35","modified_gmt":"2025-07-12T04:38:35","slug":"malaysia-bangladesh-to-cooperate-on-investigation-of-suspected-bangladeshi-nationals-over-militancy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deshnews24.info\/?p=62840","title":{"rendered":"Malaysia &#038; Bangladesh to cooperate on investigation of suspected Bangladeshi nationals over militancy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bangladesh and Malaysia have agreed to work together in investigating recent allegations of militancy involving several Bangladeshi nationals arrested in Malaysia.<\/p>\n<p>The understanding was reached during a bilateral meeting between Bangladesh Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain and Malaysian Foreign Minister Dato&#8217; Haji Mohamad Bin Haji Hasan on the sidelines of the 32nd ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) Ministerial Meeting held in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday, said a foreign ministry&#8217;s press release here this evening.<\/p>\n<p>Expressing concern over the arrests, Foreign Adviser Hossain reiterated Bangladesh&#8217;s firm stance against terrorism and extremism and sought Malaysia&#8217;s cooperation in conducting an in-depth investigation through the exchange of information and findings.<\/p>\n<p>The Malaysian Foreign Minister assured full cooperation, including access for Bangladeshi authorities to the individuals and relevant details related to the allegations.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in the day, the Foreign Adviser held bilateral talks with UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy.<\/p>\n<p>During the meeting, both sides discussed a range of bilateral, regional and multilateral issues, including ongoing governance reforms in Bangladesh, the protracted Rohingya crisis, and post-LDC graduation support.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bssnews.net\/news-flash\/291335\">\u09ac\u09bf\u09b8\u09cd\u09a4\u09be\u09b0\u09bf\u09a4<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bangladesh and Malaysia have agreed to work together in investigating recent allegations of militancy involving several Bangladeshi nationals arrested in Malaysia.
