{"id":62353,"date":"2025-07-03T04:10:27","date_gmt":"2025-07-03T04:10:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deshmediabd.com\/?p=62353"},"modified":"2025-07-03T04:10:27","modified_gmt":"2025-07-03T04:10:27","slug":"august-5-declared-as-july-uprising-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deshnews24.info\/?p=62353","title":{"rendered":"August 5 declared as &#8216;July Uprising Day&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Online Report<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The government has officially declared August 5 as \u2018July Uprising Day\u2019, to be observed annually as a national day with a general public holiday.<\/p>\n<p>A gazette notification was issued in this regard on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Cabinet Division, the day is now included in the Category-A list of national and international observances under the directive from October 21, 2024.<\/p>\n<p>In a separate announcement, the government has canceled &#8216;New Bangladesh Day&#8217; on August 8.This day was previously introduced by the interim government&#8217;s Advisory Council.Bangladeshi cuisine recipes<\/p>\n<p>The earlier circular, issued on June 25 to announce the celebration, has been revoked. Relevant ministries, departments, and agencies have been instructed to follow this change.<\/p>\n<p>The government has also declared July 16 as &#8216;July Martyrs&#8217; Day.&#8217; This will be observed each year to honor those who lost their lives during the July 2024 uprising.This day falls under Category-B observances, according to the Cabinet Division\u2019s national calendar.<\/p>\n<p>All three decisions were made public through separate gazettes and circulars issued by the Cabinet Division on July 2.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Online Report &nbsp; The government has officially declared August 5 as \u2018July Uprising Day\u2019, to be observed annually as a national day with a general public holiday.
