{"id":61633,"date":"2025-06-20T13:50:33","date_gmt":"2025-06-20T13:50:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deshmediabd.com\/?p=61633"},"modified":"2025-06-20T13:50:33","modified_gmt":"2025-06-20T13:50:33","slug":"undp-supports-digitalising-judiciary-underpinning-its-independence-efficiency","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deshnews24.info\/?p=61633","title":{"rendered":"UNDP supports digitalising judiciary, underpinning its independence, efficiency"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As the interim government is working to bring reform in the judiciary, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is providing support for digitalising Bangladesh&#8217;s judiciary to make it fully independent.<\/p>\n<p>Through expert assessments and technical advice, the UNDP is helping the judiciary adopt modern digital systems for case management, court proceedings, and public services.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This not only enhances efficiency but also reduces opportunities for corruption and external influence, thereby reinforcing judicial autonomy,&#8221; Stefan Liller, Resident Representative of UNDP Bangladesh, said.<\/p>\n<p>With an emphasis on national leadership of the justice reform process, he said, the UNDP is helping build sustainable in-house capacity within the judiciary.<\/p>\n<p>This model promotes ownership and internal resilience, allowing the judiciary to independently drive and manage reform processes over the long term, Stefan added.<\/p>\n<p>The UNDP is also supporting the Supreme Court in setting up a hotline for court users to report practice of abuse of office including in violation of judicial independence.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bssnews.net\/news\/284377\">\u09ac\u09bf\u09b8\u09cd\u09a4\u09be\u09b0\u09bf\u09a4<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As the interim government is working to bring reform in the judiciary, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is providing support for digitalising Bangladesh&#8217;s judiciary to make it fully independent.
