When symptoms consistent with COVID-19 appeared, a test was conducted, and he was found to be positive for the virus.<\/p>\n<p>Following the diagnosis, Sheikh Amir was transferred to the ICU on the afternoon of June 16. Despite ongoing treatment, he passed away on Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Md. Robiul Islam Tuhin, Junior Consultant and in-charge of the ICU, confirmed the death and noted that three other patients in the ICU are currently under observation for suspected COVID-19.
