BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia was taken to Evercare Hospital in Dhaka on Wednesday evening for a scheduled health evaluation.<\/p>\n
She arrived at the hospital from her Gulshan residence around 7:47 PM, according to BNP media cell member Sayrul Kabir Khan.<\/p>\n
Khaleda\u2019s personal physician, Professor AZM Zahid Hossain, said the 79-year-old leader would undergo a series of medical tests based on the advice of her medical board. \u201cOnce the test results are available, the board will determine the next steps in her treatment,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Khaleda Zia has been battling multiple chronic health issues for several years and is currently being treated at home under the supervision of a medical board comprising specialists from Evercare Hospital and her personal doctors.<\/p>\n
She returned to Dhaka on May 6 after spending four months in London for advanced medical care, particularly for liver-related complications.<\/p>\n
During her stay, she was treated by renowned liver specialist Professor Patrick Kennedy.<\/p>\n
Her travel arrangements, including the use of a specialized air ambulance, were facilitated with assistance from Qatar\u2019s Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.<\/p>\n
