{"id":58448,"date":"2025-03-14T04:27:17","date_gmt":"2025-03-14T04:27:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deshmediabd.com\/?p=58448"},"modified":"2025-03-14T04:27:17","modified_gmt":"2025-03-14T04:27:17","slug":"guterres-arrives-in-dhaka","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deshnews24.info\/?p=58448","title":{"rendered":"Guterres arrives in Dhaka"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>United Nations Secretary-General Ant\u00f3nio Guterres arrived in Dhaka this afternoon on a four-day official visit at the invitation of Chief Adviser Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus.<\/p>\n<p>An Emirates flight (EK-586) carrying Guterres landed at Hazrat Shahjalal \u00a0international Airport (HSIA) at around 4:26 pm.<\/p>\n<p>Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain received the UN Secretary General at the HSIA when two tiny tots welcome Guterres with flower bouquets.<\/p>\n<p>From the airport the UN chief proceeded to his place of residence at the Hotel InterContinental.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHonorable UN Secretary General is visiting Bangladesh as part of his Ramadan solidarity visit,\u201d Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mohammad Rafiqul Alam told reporters at the ministry earlier today.<\/p>\n<p>He said, during the visit, the UN\u2019s cooperation with Bangladesh on the Rohingya crisis and their resolutions, as well as other global and regional important issues, are expected to be discussed.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, Foreign Affairs Adviser Hossain and High Representative of the Chief Adviser on Rohingya Issue and Priority Matters Dr Khalilur Rahman will call on Guterres at the hotel at 9:00 am. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bssnews.net\/news-flash\/254615\">\u09ac\u09bf\u09b8\u09cd\u09a4\u09be\u09b0\u09bf\u09a4<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>United Nations Secretary-General Ant\u00f3nio Guterres arrived in Dhaka this afternoon on a four-day official visit at the invitation of Chief Adviser Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus.
