{"id":51176,"date":"2024-01-17T05:54:33","date_gmt":"2024-01-17T05:54:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deshmediabd.com\/?p=51176"},"modified":"2024-01-17T05:54:33","modified_gmt":"2024-01-17T05:54:33","slug":"deal-reached-for-gaza-hostages-to-receive-medicines","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deshnews24.info\/?p=51176","title":{"rendered":"Deal reached for Gaza hostages to receive medicines"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A deal to allow the delivery of medicines to<br \/>\nhostages in Gaza and aid into the territory has been agreed following<br \/>\nmediation by Doha and Paris, Qatar and Israel announced on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement to the official Qatar News Agency (QNA), Doha announced the<br \/>\ndeal &#8220;between Israel and (Hamas), where medicine along with other<br \/>\nhumanitarian aid is to be delivered to civilians in Gaza&#8230; in exchange for<br \/>\ndelivering medication needed for Israeli captives in Gaza&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu&#8217;s office confirmed the deal and<br \/>\nsaid: &#8220;The medicines will be forwarded by Qatari representatives in the Gaza<br \/>\nStrip to their final destination.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The drugs are intended for 45 hostages, according to the French presidency,<br \/>\nwhich said 83 were initially identified as needing medication in November,<br \/>\nbut 38 have since been released or killed.<\/p>\n<p>After the medicines arrive at a hospital in the southern Gaza border town of<br \/>\nRafah on Wednesday, they will be received by the International Committee of<br \/>\nthe Red Cross, divided into batches and immediately transferred to the<br \/>\nhostages<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bssnews.net\/news-flash\/168426\">\u09ac\u09bf\u09b8\u09cd\u09a4\u09be\u09b0\u09bf\u09a4<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A deal to allow the delivery of medicines to hostages in Gaza and aid into the territory has been agreed following mediation by Doha and Paris, Qatar and Israel announced on Tuesday.
