{"id":39777,"date":"2023-07-24T03:40:11","date_gmt":"2023-07-24T03:40:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deshmediabd.com\/?p=39777"},"modified":"2023-07-24T03:40:11","modified_gmt":"2023-07-24T03:40:11","slug":"pressure-mounts-on-healthcare-facilities-as-dengue-increasing-alarmingly","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deshnews24.info\/?p=39777","title":{"rendered":"Pressure mounts on healthcare facilities as dengue increasing alarmingly"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The outbreak of dengue has put massive pressure on public hospitals, private-run diagnostic centres and clinics in Dhaka city as the mosquito-borne disease is increasing alarmingly in the country.<\/p>\n<p>According to authorities and officials concerned of hospitals and healthcare facilities, Bangladesh has so far recorded a large number of dengue positive cases and the outbreak has turned into a pandemic creating huge pressure on the entire healthcare system particularly in Dhaka city.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Nearly 800 people are coming to Mugda Medical College and Hospital<br \/>\nfor performing dengue tests simultaneously around 150 dengue patients are visiting our hospital for admission,&#8221; Director of Mugda Medical College and Hospital Dr Md Niatuzzaman told BSS today.<\/p>\n<p>He said, &#8220;In order to cope with increased the number of dengue patients, we are expanding treatment facilities . . .four dedicated dengue units have been set up at the hospitals incorporating all logistics supports.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The hospital authorities have increased capacity of pathology department engaging adequate number of healthcare professionals to provide testing reports at the quickest time, Niatuzzaman said.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bssnews.net\/news\/137917\">\u09ac\u09bf\u09b8\u09cd\u09a4\u09be\u09b0\u09bf\u09a4<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The outbreak of dengue has put massive pressure on public hospitals, private-run diagnostic centres and clinics in Dhaka city as the mosquito-borne disease is increasing alarmingly in the country.
