{"id":39576,"date":"2023-07-20T02:17:40","date_gmt":"2023-07-20T02:17:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deshmediabd.com\/?p=39576"},"modified":"2023-07-20T02:17:40","modified_gmt":"2023-07-20T02:17:40","slug":"19-dengue-patients-die-1792-hospitalised-in-24-hrs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deshnews24.info\/?p=39576","title":{"rendered":"19 dengue patients die, 1,792 hospitalised in 24 hrs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A total of 19 dengue patients died and 1,792 were admitted to different hospitals in the country during the past 24 hours till 8 am today.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;During the period, 922 dengue patients were hospitalised in Dhaka city and 870 were admitted to different hospitals outside it,&#8221; a press release of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This year, 146 deaths were reported from dengue disease while 269 died last year,&#8221; the daily statement of the DGHS said.<\/p>\n<p>With the new cases, the total number of patients rose to 25,792 the statement said, adding: &#8220;Some 20,094 patients were released from different hospitals this year among the total patients.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has recently issued comprehensive instructions on prevention of dengue infection as the mosquito- borne tropical disease has increased sharply in the current year.<\/p>\n<p>According to the DGHS data, dengue infection has increased five times since January 1 to May 31, 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Dengue fever is a mosquito-borne illness that occurs in tropical and subtropical areas of the world.
