\"\"NEW YORK, Sept 26, 2018 \u2013 Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will address
\nthe 73rd Session of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly here tomorrow.<\/p>\n

The prime minister is scheduled to deliver her speech at the General
\nAssembly Hall in the UN Headquarters between 7:30 pm and 8 pm (local time).<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s theme of the general debate is \u2018Making the United Nations
\nrelevant to all people: Global leadership and shared responsibilities for
\npeaceful, equitable and sustainable societies\u2019.<\/p>\n

The prime minister will place some specific proposals in continuation of
\nher previous five specific measures for resolving the Rohingya crisis,
\nForeign Minister AH Mahmood Ali told a press conference at the Foreign
\nMinistry in Dhaka on Thursday last.<\/p>\n

Apart from the Rohingya issue, the prime minister will also discuss world
\npeace, safe migration, the rights of Palestine people, women empowerment and
\nclimate change, the foreign minister said.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe will also present Bangladesh\u2019s different socioeconomic advancements,
\nincluding establishment of digital Bangladesh and the country\u2019s ongoing
\ndemocratic process to world leaders,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Sheikh Hasina will receive two prestigious awards \u2014 one for her dynamic
\nand farsighted role in addressing Rohingya crisis and another for her
\noutstanding leadership, Ali said.<\/p>\n

The premier will receive \u2018International Achievement Award\u2019 introduced by
\nInter Press Service (IPS), a global news agency, while Global Hope Coalition
\nwill confer her \u20182018 Special Recognition for Outstanding Leadership Award\u2019
\nin two separate functions tomorrow evening.<\/p>\n

Apart from these, Sheikh Hasina will have a meeting with UN Secretary
\nGeneral Antonio Guterres tomorrow afternoon, while US Secretary of State Mike
\nPompeo will later call on her.<\/p>\n

The prime minister arrived here on Sept 23 on a weeklong official visit to
\nthe United States to attend the 73rd UNGA.<\/p>\n
