\u2013 Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today said a clique in Bangladesh is very excited at the changeover of power in a South Asian country as the politics of conspiracy is still going on in Bangladesh.<\/p>\n
\u201cPolitics of conspiracy is still going on in Bangladesh. The youth should remain alert as there will be tougher challenges in the days to come,\u201d he said while addressing a discussion marking National Mourning Day at AL\u2019s Bangabandhu Avenue central office.<\/p>\n
Bangladesh Chhatra League\u2019s Dhaka University unit arranged the discussion.<\/p>\n
Quader said: \u201cWe will have to understand the intention of those who got excited at the changeover of power in a South Asian nation.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mentioning that the preparation is going to reopen educational institutions, including universities, the minister said the conspirators are taking preparations to create unrest in the country centering the universities with a target to oust the government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.<\/p>\n
He called upon the BCL to remain alert and not to get locked into internal wrangling centering trifling incidents.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have witnessed acts of sabotage and anarchy in the name of movement. They (conspirators) are taking preparations to create instability in the country,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He said they (the plotters) are preparing to intensify the stream of conspiracy to oust the government.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo, Chhatra League will have to be united further. You will have to do student politics in the field with merit, honesty and capability,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Pointing to BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, AL General Secretary said he asked many questions to Mirza Fakhrul but he (Fakhrul) didn\u2019t reply to those.<\/p>\n
\u201cWho was the army chief of Khondaker Mostaq after Bangabandhu\u2019s assassination? Who had sent Bangabandhu’s killers abroad, who gave jobs to the killers and rewarded them? You (Fakhrul) can\u2019t reply,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He questioned Mirza Fakhrul why Scotland Yard was not allowed to investigate the August 21 grenade attacks and why FBI was not allowed to come here.<\/p>\n
Quader said BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia has five dates of birthday.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe saw another date of her birthday during her receiving of vaccine for Covid-19. A person could have two dates of birthday-one is of certificate and another one is original-in Bangladesh (due to some traditional complexities in birth registration). But how a person has six dates of birthday?\u201d he said.
\nAL Organizing Secretary BM Mozammel Haque, Jagannath University former Vice-Chancellor Prof Mizanur Rahman, BCL President Al Nahian Khan Joy and its General Secretary Lekhak Bhattacharjee spoke on the occasion, among others.<\/p>\n
