Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today expressed Bangladesh’s firm resolve to win the battle against coronavirus (Covid-19) and renewed her call to all to strictly follow the health guidelines to check the deadly virus.<\/p>\n
“We have been fighting against Covid-19 for more than one year. But, we’ve to secure victory in the war … we must win the battle, InshaAllah,” she said in a video message on the eve of the holy Eid-ul-Azha.<\/p>\n
In the message, aired by Bangladesh Television and other media outlets, the premier extended her heartfelt greetings to the countrymen and expatriate Bangladeshis on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Azha, one of the two biggest religious festivals of the Muslims which will be celebrated tomorrow.<\/p>\n
She requested all to abide by the health protocols properly to halt further transmission of the Covid-19.<\/p>\n
“We’ve lost many near and dear ones in Covid-19,” Sheikh Hasina said, praying for eternal peace of the departed souls of the deceased and conveying profound sympathy to their family members.<\/p>\n
The prime minister urged all to work for the welfare of the country and its people being imbued with the spirit of sacrifice taught through Qurbani.<\/p>\n
